Course starts on May 21st!

Class Purpose:

Gain hands-on experience in a simulated NBA Draft workshop. Those preparing and hoping to work in the NBA one day (or superfans!) will have the opportunity to receive instruction from expert guest speakers, collaborate with cohort members, and put new skills into practice.

Structure:

Weekly 120-minute Zoom courses hosted by John Ross and taught by various guest speakers with expertise in their field (scouting, coaching, performance, analytics, medical, agents, media, etc). Classes will include guest speakers, weekly assignments, class participation, and mini cohorts. Classes will take place on Zoom from 5-7p PT / 8-10p ET (All classes will be recorded and available to be rewatched)

Classes Include:

• How NBA Scouts prepare for a Draft

• How and where to watch Video and how to Utilize Analytics

• What resources and websites NBA teams rely on

• How teams gather Intel and Medical reports

• How a Coach prepares / views a Draft

• What does a Draft look like from an Agency

• How does the Media play a role, and more!

Mini cohorts:

Class participants will be split into cohorts (Front Offices) of 5-6 where they will work together as a team throughout the week to set up their NBA Draft Big Board, refining it each week as they learn from the experts

Draft Project:

Final:

The final week will include a Mock Draft on June 18 with each mini cohort (Front Office) drafting their roster
